Tell us a little something about your book and what genre it is?
My book, ‘The Trouble With Charlie’ is a contemporary Romantic Suspense.
The following is a short summation of the book:
Love. Desire. A psycho bent on revenge. But can Charlie Reynolds recognize the most dangerous of the three?
Since being out on her own at eighteen, Charlotte “Charlie” Reynolds is a street-smart “good” girl who hides her desire for love and security behind her feisty and independent personality. She just never expected a more noxious hero than wealthy, self-consumed Evan Gardner, the CEO and founder of Valley Tech., a successful software company in Los Angeles. From the moment Evan rescues her from an apparent random attack, their attraction for each other bubbles just below the surface of all-out passion.
What character(s) do you like the most and why? If someone made a movie of your book, which actors/actresses would play your characters?
My favorite character is Charlie. I created her as a pragmatic, yet vulnerable heroine. I suppose I molded her into the person I would most like to be. I love the rendition of Charlie on my book cover, but as a celebrity I chose Julianne Hough as a look-a-like.
When I was writing the book, I envisioned Evan as a character played by Viggo Mortensen in the movie 28 Days (blond, tan, chiseled good looks.)
What are your favorite books? And is there any book in particular that made you want to become a writer?
I have always loved to read and growing up spent many happy hours at the library. As a teenager I liked fantasy books including ‘The Lord of the Rings’ Trilogy and ‘The Chronicles of Narnia.’ Later on I liked to read romance, especially historical romance and romantic suspense. I began writing my book after I had read every Amanda Quick novel I could find at the library.
What’s the one thing you can’t live without while writing?
Sleep and chocolate!
Reality or Fantasy?
Your favorite snack?
Pizza and chocolate
Who’s your literary crush?
Only one? First would be Viggo Mortensen’s portrayal of Aragorn in ‘The Lord of the Rings’ movies (I believe he stayed true to Tolkien’s vision of the character.) Also, liked Gabriel Jones in Amanda’s Quick’s Arcane Series. Lastly, I am in love with my own character, Evan Gardner.
Lastly, what’s your favorite season?
I am a summer gal.
