I’m SO happy to announce that my agent Jenn Mishler at Literary Counsel sold my YA Fantasy The Legend of Me in a three book deal to Liz Pelletier at Entangled Teen through their digiTeen imprint, with a tentative publication date of December 2013. I’ve been sitting on this news since February and it was KILLING ME (LOL). But at least now I can share it with the world.
That means I’m gonna have at least 6 books coming out in the next few years (between The Winter People series and now The Legend of Me series). That’s a lot of writing/books. Of those 6 books, I’ve got three already written, but 3 more to go (ah).
It’s so awesome to think that a few years ago, I was struggling to get an agent, and now I have book deals to blog about. I’m just so humbled and happy and overwhelmed. And I have to thank my lovely crit group, writing friends, and my lovely agent who’ve championed my stories and kept me from totally freaking out (LOL). Can’t wait for everyone to read these two series. I hope you’ll love the characters, stories, and settings as much as I do.
As soon as the official PM comes out with the info about the book, I’ll post it here.
Wow! Fabulous news. Congrats on your new deal.
Thank you so much! It’s been a long time coming (LOL).
Congratulations, Rebekah!!!! This is awesome news to hear and it’s been so amazing watching your progress over the years – I can’t wait to see what else unfolds for you!
Awesome, awesome, awesome, news – BIG CONGRATS!!!
Thank you SO much! I remember our first contacts on Query Tracker (LOL). So happy to have my books making it out into the world and for all the friends who’ve shared my journey!
What outstanding news, I’m so thrilled for you!
Thank you so much! I’m beyond excited and am seriously still trying to fathom that I’ll have more books in the world (LOL).
Congrats, Rebekah! I am so happy for you and glad that I will be able to devour even more of your work. You truly have a way of transporting me into another world with your writing. Thank you for the wonderful espcape and for reigniting my imagination. It was you and your books, after all, that reminded me of my love of reading!
((HUGS))…thanks so much. And thank you for listening to all my crazy ideas or wanting to talk about books at the office ALL THE TIME! And thank you for reading my stories and introducing them to your daughter.
AWESOME!!!! Big congrats to you. That is SO exciting!! I bet you were having a really hard time not saying anything, if you’ve been waiting since February! 🙂
Carol,
OMG, it was SUPER hard to sit on the news. My agent told me I had to keep quiet and I remember I was able to tell an agent mate/crit partner and my crit group, which was it (LOL). I know one day soon, we’ll be able to share in news of yours!
Thanks! I hope I’ll someday (soon?) have news to share, too!! 🙂
OMG!! I’m SO sorry I missed saying this sooner on here (though I know I already did on Yaff), “CONGRATULATIONS!!” I know each of your books is going to shine and lift you into an amazing future!!
