And without further adieu, I give you the book cover for The D.B. List (which will be out in June). EEEP! This book is super close to my heart as the main character suffers from mental illness, which as some of you know I have child and other family members who also suffer from it. There were a lot of hard things to write about in this book, but I felt it needed to be written.

TheDBList-ebook-final

Blurb: Seventeen-year-old Ellie Gebhardt has spent the last three years of high school in psychotherapy, trying to fix a very broken her. And her shrink (or therapist as she likes to be called) seems to think that in order to totally heal, she needs to recognize all the good and bad things that have led her to this point. As if a trip down memory lane will suddenly make her better.

She’s given a “homework” assignment to create two lists. One with nothing but happy memories and thoughts on it (otherwise known as the ‘happy rainbow farting unicorns list’). And the other with everything negative that Ellie thinks contributed to “the” day she could no longer cope.

So begins Ellie’s Douche Bag list (or D.B. List for short). And once she gets started, it’s hard to stop remembering all the jerks, the petty crap, the times she’d been bullied or the main focus of the rumor mill.

So when nice guy, Ky Laramie, walks into her life, Ellie instantly puts her shields up. But as she gets to know him and his family, she wonders if she can dare to put herself out there again. Because as everyone knows, once a candle is lit, the wind can always blow it out. And Ellie couldn’t handle it if Ky ends up atop of the D.B. List.

SOOOOOO very excited that How to Unbreakup has released today! This story was SUPER fun to write and is all about summer vacations gone wrong and cute boys with a sprinkle of Star Wars nerdiness! (not necessarily in that order–hahaha). But mostly it’s about Grace, who is forced to spend her summer vacation with her ex-boyfriend, his family, and her family–all packed into 1 vacation home. Problem is Grace REALLY wants Sage back and realizes she made a huge mistake when she broke up with him.

How to Unbreakup (3)

First rule of breakups: There’s no going back.

For three years, seventeen-year-old Grace Evers has regretted breaking up with Sage Castle.

That day, she lost her boyfriend and best friend. And let’s be honest, it’s impossible to just be friends with the one person who gets you, faults and all, and loved you anyway. It’s impossible not to think about how it felt to be held by him, or the way he looked right before he was about to kiss you with the most perfectly yummy kiss goodnight.

And now that things are over between them, they’ve become strangers to one another. Sage won’t even look at Grace, let alone talk to her!

Breakup life sucks and Grace is utterly miserable, doing whatever she can to ease the pain of losing Sage. She’s spent the better part of high school pretending to be something she’s not and hanging out with people who probably wouldn’t notice if she wasn’t there. Crappy dates, backstabbing friends, and Sage’s cold shoulder have taken their toll.

So when her parents propose going away to a house on Lake Michigan for the summer, Grace is thrilled. No more massively bad dates with horrible kissers or lunch with frienemies. Just three months of swimming,
hiking, and relaxing before senior year starts.

But when Grace learns Sage and his family will be joining them, she readies herself for a totally awkward family vacation of disastrous proportions. How can it be anything but awful if Sage won’t even acknowledge she exists?

This is it, Grace’s last chance to get Sage back and unbreakup.

SO happy to be a part of my lovely friend Heather’s book cover reveal:

COVER REVEAL

FINDING HER WAY BACK

By: Heather van FLeet

Releasing October 7, 2014

FindingHerWayBackWEB

A New Adult Contemporary Romance

Meet Callie. She’s eighteen, quirky, and fears commitments. She also has a love/hate relationship with her tennis shoes.

Nine months of college, done and gone, and all Callie has to show for it is her freshman thirty. But alas, no worries, life has other crap plans for her now. Plans that include a set of nuptials from hell for her older, she–devil sister Anna. Struggling to rid her chubby–sexy vibe, Callie is put on a strict Anna regimen of ‘do this do that’ while attempting to avoid the unavoidable. The unavoidable being Ky Hampton: her once skinny–skater–boy turned sex–god, ex best friend from across the street.

Kylan feels as though he is a waste. A mechanic, country music singer with not a lyrics to his name. A boy with a proverbial skateboard still strung around his neck from high school. He’s lost, and he’d be the first to admit it. But the moment he spots Calla Lily––with a cemented penis in hand––the more he realizes that she’s exactly the muse he’s been missing.

But when the going gets tough, and the secrets of her past grow thicker, Callie has to figure out if her tennis shoes will be her escape this time around in life, or her demise instead.

Super excited that the day has finally arrived! The Romeo Club is finally out!! Woot woot.

The-Romeo-Club-1600x2400

BLURB:

What happens when you agree to help your brother “de-nerdify” so he can catch the attention of the popular Chloe Anders, and to everyone’s surprise, he actually lands her?
And what if his equally geeky friends come running with girl wish lists of their own, offering money for your services?
Well, if you’re sixteen-year-old, Delyla Denson, then you start The Romeo Club. A secret club where she’ll teach these guys how talk, act, and be cool around girls. It’s a win-win situation.
She’ll get enough money for the awesome prom dress she’s had her eye on, and the guys, well, they’ll get dates and maybe learn how to do something other than beat the next level on their video games.
There are only two problems with this plan. One, her quarterback/track star boyfriend is getting jealous of how much time she’s spending away from him and decides to try and figure out what’s going on. And two, Delyla is kind of falling for her brother’s BFF, Trey who she’s been hanging out with a lot more. And who thanks to her help, has caught the attention of the beautiful, perfect, and popular, Portia Rickard. With Portia and Trey heating up, Delyla realizes that maybe the person she’s meant to be with has been in front of her all this time.
But falling for Trey means she’ll have to take drastic measures including sabotage, with a capital S.

Fat Amy

Soooo, I can finally share my AWESOMELY FAB news!!! My lovely agent Jenn Mishler ( at Literary Counsel), sold my YA contemporary romance entitled The Romeo Club to Georgia McBride at Swoon Romance, in a two book deal. The Romeo Club will have a May 2014 release date.

So for those of you keeping track (GAH–this is crazy insane), I’ll now have The Legend of Me releasing  December 2013, The Romeo Club releasing May 2014, and The Winter People releasing June 2014. HOLY BOOKS!!!

I’m super excited for everyone to read The Romeo Club. It was such a FUN write. And this is the book I got the title idea for from a spam email (which was actually advertising er…adult things).  My daughter’s excited for everyone to read about C.C. (one of the nerdy guys from the book who’s super flipping hilarious) and I can’t wait for you all to meet him and the rest of the cast of TRC, I hope  you’ll love this story as much as me.

I have to thank my FAB crit group (YAFF), you ladies are awesome and help to make every story WAY better than it started out. I love you ladies so much!!! And of course, my FREAKING AWESOME agent, Jenn Mishler, who lets me talk about crazy stuff that has nothing to do with writing (stalker cats who can open doors–hehehe). Lastly, have to give a giant shout out to my teen daughter Erin (who is beautiful, funny, and honest) for reading through my first draft of The Romeo Club and encouraging me to hurry up and finish so she could see what happened next. Between her and my sister nagging me to write this, I was able to crank it out in a short time and have fun writing something outside my comfort zone (contemporary YA Romance).

This has been a blessed year on the writing front. This is the 2nd book deal Agent Jenn has brokered for me this year. She’s a ROCK STAR who believes in my stories and champions them! MWAH!!!! Will post the official PM announcement in my News Tab when it’s posted!!!!
